Dr. James Durfey is 50 years old and married to the love of his life, Sara. He is the father of 6 children spanning ages 26 to 5 years old. His family was among the early pioneer settlers of the four corners, with one of his ancestors leading the amazing Hole in the Rock expedition and others helping settle Bluff Utah. He comes from a long line of farmers/ranchers on both sides of his family and enjoys gardening, horseback riding, herding cattle, and working in the family orchards at his parents’ ranch in Utah. He loves spending time with his wife and children and doing activities like hiking, mountain biking, swimming, camping, rock and ice climbing, and mountaineering. He has summited many mountain peaks in the San Juans and other mountain ranges and loves the outdoors and nature. He ran the Imagine Pass run 6 times and has participated in other mountain races as well as mounting bike competitions. He also enjoys pencil drawing, writing, and memorizing poetry.With over 17 years of experience as a general dentist, Dr. Durfey loves being a dentist and working with patients to help them achieve their oral health goals. Dr. Durfey earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Brigham Young University (BYU) and his DDS from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). A member of the ADA, Dr. Durfey is also a recognized Dental Co-Op member.
